Data Entry Jobs
Data entry jobs are some of the most searched for in the world. Every day, millions of individuals go online in search of a way to make money from their homes by using their computers to input data. While you won't find an abundance of these types of jobs, there are a few options you may want to consider if you are looking for a way to work from your home and earn a good income.
Basically, typing and data entry are the same thing. If you are good at typing and are efficient, there are several opportunities you may want to consider:
Freelance writing. While this is more of a self employment opportunity than a job, millions of people earn money as a freelance writer. You may want to write articles, website pages, blog posts, press releases and other content for online business owners, or write for some of the best known magazines. There are plenty of opportunities for this type of work, as content is what makes up the web.
Medical transcription or coding. This is a highly popular job that pays well, if you have the training. Even if you do not, there are many sites online that allow you to train at home; once you have your diploma or certificate, you can then locate a company in need of your services. Some of the schools assist you in finding work after you have completed training.
Customer care call center. Today, many of the largest, most well-known companies in the world hire people to work from home as customer service representatives. In this capacity, you may be required to take telephone calls from customers with questions or concerns. You will use the internet to look up product information, warranties, guarantees, return policies, etc. so that you can give customers the information they request.
Virtual assistant or secretary. The internet is growing at incredible speed, meaning more and more businesses are going online. Just as in the brick-and-mortar world, these businesses need a "secretary" to take care of the miscellaneous work such as telephone calls, responding to emails, typing up letters to send to a client, etc. Additionally, many brick-and-mortar companies today allow their employees to work from home, sending completed work over the internet.
There are other data entry jobs available, but you will have to research thoroughly if you find one online, as there are many scams out there today. Online surveys are another form of data entry; you simply answer the questions regarding a company's product or service, and when complete they will pay you. Pay for a single survey varies from $2 to $25 or even $50, depending upon the length and involvement of the survey.
Dig deep and have patience, and you will find that there are legitimate data entry opportunities out there. Additionally, rather than looking for a “job,” you may want to offer your services by marketing your typing and data entry skills online, creating your own business.
